An agreement with Plaza to speed up the start of Aupark construction in Hradec Králové
Access to the land beneath the purchased building is key to the extension of the upcoming shopping and entertainment center project
Following intense negotiations, HB Reavis Group yesterday made with Plaza Centers Czech Republic an agreement for purchase of the old customs office building on Zamenhofova Street in Hradec Králové. The property in question is located on a 797 sqm lot close to HB Reavis Group, a.s., owned lands. Thanks to its current acquisition the investor will gain access to the state-owned land to expand the Aupark shopping and entertainment centre area.
”As early as our bid made last year did we declare that for the Aupark project we would reckon also with the area beneath the now-defunct customs house and that we would seek its acquisition. Today we are pleased to state that we have managed to make an agreement with the building owner thanks to which we will be able to shortly redesign our project so as to deliver more optimal functional usage of the building. For future centre visitors this will imply access to a wider-ranging portfolio of services, better possibilities of parking and also relax,” appreciates the concluded agreement Roman Karabelli, PR officer for the investor HB Reavis Group CZ.
The Aupark shopping and entertainment center project has been under the planning permit documentation development stage. After its scheduled completion in 2011, the center will offer about 24,000 m2 or so in area, 730 parking spaces, and extensive shopping, catering, entertaining or sporting and cultural opportunities.
