Class "A" needs to be thoroughly checked
Slovak developer No. 1, HB Reavis Slovakia, has launched information campaign on unified of office space.
Today, the company HB Reavis Slovakia a.s. has launched information campaign on internationally accepted classes of office structures. The thing is that marketing slang of various developers often includes non-existing classes, such as B++, A+, or A*, and customers, potential tenants are being mislead by the use of ambiguous symbols. The company HB Reavis Slovakia strictly follows the classification introduced by a reputable non-for-profit organisation, the Urban Land Institute (www.uli.org), founded in 1936, which associates experts from real estate business. Like the stars used as a criterion of quality assessment of hotel services, A, B, C classes of office space introduced by the Urban Land Institute have strictly specified criteria.
“Class A office building must meet strict criteria,” explains Roman Karabelli from the company HB Reavis Slovakia, and adds: “The requirements include location in the centre or in business district, good access, connection to thoroughfares and accessibility by municipal transportation system, amenities, modern optical cabling, intelligent ventilation system, fast elevators, 1.5 to 2 parking spaces per 100 square meters of leasable area, high quality architecture prioritising design and visual appeal over costs of construction, etc.”
The aim of two-month information campaign is to increase the public awareness of construction standards in office buildings and provide the potential tenants with measurable, internationally accepted criteria that can help them to assess the quality of offered space. More detailed information on A, B, C classes are available to view online at www.standarda.sk.
