Bratislava, 5 October 2010 – In September HB Reavis Group commenced construction of the office project River Garden Office West in Karlín, Prague. After finishing the preparation ground works at the building site the contracting company has proceeded with the construction itself. The construction will be managed by the general contracting company, HB Reavis Management CZ.

Simultaneously with the commencement of the construction the project developer also started leasing almost 20,000 square metres in this modern eight-floor building. "We place a lot of trust in our Karlín project and that is also why we have commenced the intensive construction on a speculative basis, which means without any pre-lease contract. Simultaneously with the commencement of construction we also started the lease of premises. Our leasing team entered into negotiations with the first potential tenants mainly from the financial, IT, and pharmaceutical environment. The building will be available for use not later than May 2012," explains Štefan Duchoslav, CEO of HB Reavis Group CZ.

The concept of the modern building River Garden Office West comes from the architectural studios of David Chipperfield Architects (Germany) and EM2N (Switzerland). Renowned architectural studio Helika (Czech Republic) having background knowledge of the local market finalized the details and optimized the concept. The authors of the concept have placed particular emphasis on energy efficiency of the building and on the conformity with the environmental standards according to BREEAM certification. When finished, the building will become an integral component of the emerging central business district where many prominent companies such as Allianz, Deloitte, Kapsch, KPMG, Mediatel, Panasonic, Procter & Gamble or Rolls – Roys International are already based.
