The investor of Aupark helps schoolchildren
The developer of the planned shopping and entertainment center is supporting the distribution of textbooks of English phonology to students in the Hradec Králové and Pardubice regions.
Praha/Hradec Králové, 18/11/2010 – The HB Reavis Group, which is planning to build the Aupark Shopping and Entertainment Center in Hradec Králové, actively supports local communities in the area of its business. However, it does not only involve the individual construction complex when the majority of suppliers are recruited among local companies, the preparatory phase of the projects is equally important.
As a part of this initiative, the investor helped to distribute the modern teaching aid titled Practical phonetics of the English language. It is a textbook (including a CD) that aims at improving pronounciation and correct comprehension of spoken English language. The development of these language abilities is the basic building block in teaching students during the compulsory education years.
“We are not a company that promotes itself by handing over symbolic cheques on national television, but rather the complete contrary. We try to sensitively perceive the needs of the local community in which we do our business. In Bratislava, the Aupark Shopping and Entertainment Center is situated directly next to the Janko Kráľ Park – the oldest public park in Central Europe. Therefore, during this, and the previous year we invested, in the revitalisation of this park, more than one million crowns as part of the “Aupark to People” Initiative. When planning the project in Hradec Králové, we identified the need to support language education at primary schools. We are pleased to say that we provided textbooks to 256 schools in the Pardubice region and to as many as 338 schools in the Hradec Králové region,” Štefan Duchoslav, General Director of HB Reavis Group CZ, explains.
The Aupark Shopping and Entertainment Center represents an investment of about 1.8 billion crowns. Upon its completion, the modern shopping gallery, with almost 170 stores, will offer a rich selection of goods and services. Parking for as many as 1,300 vehicles will be provided, which will significantly contribute to the solving of local traffic issues. The complex will be located near the center of the town in place of the former bus station and a customs house building.
