Aupark is located on the right bank of the River Danube, in the close vicinity of two of the city’s contemporary landmarks; Bratislava Castle and the New Bridge. This locality forms a natural continuation of the nearby historical city centre and belongs to the relaxation and entertainment zones of the city. The northern part of Aupark is situated towards Sad Janka Kráľa (Janko Kráľs park), which is separated from the river by Viedenská cesta. In 2006, Unibail-Rodamco, the largest publicly listed investment and management company in the European real estate market, took a 50 % share in this shopping centre while creating its flagship in Slovakia.
