Žilina is the largest and most important metropolis of the north-western part of Slovakia. An Aupark Shopping and Entertainment Center project is also planned to be implemented in this dynamically developing town. It will be situated in a unique locality between a pedestrian zone and an internal traffic route. This locality is also a busy junction for public mass transportation (14 routes). After completion, Žilina will gain new commercial establishments, bank branches and services as well as premises for fun and sports activities.
The project’s architecture was designed by the Jančina architectural studio, which is also the designer of Aupark, Bratislava. Extensive internal premises with natural daylight will form two roofed squares and a new street, which will form part of the pedestrian zone in Žilina. High quality materials, such as natural stone, wood and glass complemented by a variety of greenery and tree-lined alleys will thus create an elegant and pleasant architectural design.
